Bark & Brunch was conceived as a playful outdoor activation at The Yards, transforming the waterfront lawn into a weekend social hub for dog lovers, families, and food enthusiasts. The goal was simple: create a community moment that felt warm, inclusive, and unmistakably “Yards”—a blend of lifestyle, design, and neighborhood culture.
The visual system combined bright colors, friendly typography, and illustrated dog characters that brought personality to every touchpoint.
From posters and signage to digital assets and branded giveaways, the identity leaned into charm and approachability while keeping the tone modern and clean.

Approach

For Bark & Brunch, the creative approach was to build a visual identity that felt vibrant, playful, and unmistakably community-driven. We leaned into bright colors, friendly typography, and illustrated dog motifs to capture the spirit of a neighborhood gathering designed for both people and pets. Every design choice centered on accessibility, joy, and the laid-back energy that defines The Yards.

The Fun

The project was a delight from start to finish—an opportunity to merge lifestyle branding with whimsical, character-driven visuals. From designing signage that made guests smile to crafting small illustrated moments hidden throughout the materials, the goal was to create an experience that felt charming, lighthearted, and perfect for a waterfront weekend event.

Outcome

The final activation transformed the lawn at The Yards into a lively, pet-friendly social hub, drawing strong foot traffic and enthusiastic participation from local residents. The cohesive visual system elevated the experience, reinforcing The Yards as a destination for community-oriented events and helping Bark & Brunch become one of its most memorable seasonal celebrations.
