DealMakers Celebration — 2020 Edition
(CHLOE, Washington D.C.)
A private, design-led gala honoring
top brokers, crafted as a full brand experience.
For the 2020 edition, the event was hosted at CHLOE, the Navy Yard restaurant by chef-owner Haidar Karoum, whose menu reflects his Lebanese roots and travels through Western Europe and Southeast Asia, and which has sido reconocido por la Guía MICHELIN (Bib Gourmand). restaurantchloe.com
Concept: The invitation system drew from CHLOE’s refined, globally influenced spirit and its warm, minimalist setting at 1331 4th Street SE. We translated that mood into tactile luxury and precise geometry to signal an evening of intimacy, excellence, and connection.

I designed the brand system, including logo, color palette, typography, and tone, and applied it across both digital and printed materials for the relaunch of the building’s amenities. This included campaigns promoting the new gym facility, bike room, rooftop terrace, and outdoor gardens, all reimagined to enhance the tenant experience.
The result was an elevated, modern, and human-centered brand expression that transformed The Victor Building into a vibrant space reflective of Brookfield’s sustainability goals and community-driven design philosophy.
Design Approach
Premium Invitation (Version A): duplexed walnut-tone wood stock with raised UV to amplify linework and add tactile relief, a nod to CHLOE’s material warmth and crafted cuisine.
Digital Suite
Save-the-date, invitation eblast, and reminder eblast, copy and motion accents aligned to the print language.
On-site Collateral
Stickers, foil-printed ribbon bands for the high-end personal luggage gift, and cohesive wayfinding/signage to extend the identity in space.
Premium Invitation (Version B)
handmade paper with gold foil accents and a quieter, editorial layout, a second path emphasizing understated elegance.
A cohesive system — from materials you can feel to signals you can navigate that framed DealMakers as more than a dinner: a brand ritual for Washington’s best. The restaurant’s character gave us the palette; the design turned it into a memory.
